One of the big challenges for a platform like Keels is to ensure that no creator can publish or sell work without holding the publishing rights.
That's why Keels will set up a content curation system, where the seller will have to prove that he can publish the desired score.
Initially, only Keels Publishing and verified Professional Publishers will be able to sell copyrighted scores on the platform. On the other hand, Content Creators will be able to sell:
  • Public domain scores that they have edited
  • Scores of their own composition when they own the rights
In the future and after negotiations with rights holders and publishing companies, content creators will be able to sell:
  • Arranged scores
  • Scores under license negotiated by Keels Publishing
